Sexuality is one of those things that brings arguments almost instantly depending on who you are with!

For many people the issue of sexuality is fixed and there is no argument - there is man on the one hand and woman on the other.

However this would be to leave out so many people who do not fit in to that pattern. People go through tortures in trying to understand themselves - men trapped in womens bodies and vice versa.

There are also those who are attracted to people of the same gender. This is something either that people are aware of from a very young age or something that gradually becomes unavoidable.

In all these things there are cultural aspects too - these situations in some cultures are prized and valued as being of a divine nature, yet in others reviled. It is too simple just to take what we have learned and think that this is all there is to know.

Therapy wise building on strengths and skills works in exactly the same way,encouraging people to find solutions from within their own world - the best kind.
